Self-Catering Chalet in the Swiss Alps

Base your Alpine holiday from Chalet Rhaetia. This immaculate wooden chalet was built in 2003 with the capacity to accommodate up to eight people in comfort. Used by the owner as his own "dream" holiday home, it is equipped to a much higher standard than ordinary self-catering accommodation. It has been awarded a "Four Star Luxury" rating by the local Tourist Board.

If you are able to go outside the school holidays for a walking holiday, or maybe with very young children, have you considered a holiday in a less conventional month? June is one of my favorite times to visit Chalet Rhaetia, so green an pleasant as summer is fresh and new. The colours of late summer and the first tinges of Autumn make September a glorious time to go too. The delights of June and September are well known to the Swiss, but less so to others, making those months a more economical time to visit the glorious scenery.

The chalet and garden are south west facing, resulting in sunshine for most of the day. After a day's sporting or hiking activity, sit on the balcony, relax, and enjoy the spectacular view.

Chalet in Winter

The chalet has one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and three twin bedded rooms sharing a bathroom and an additional cloakroom. Everything is new, crisp sheets and fresh linen is always on tap. The chalet is a unique blend of traditional pine and Swiss cowbells and pewter, yet modern, bright and functional throughout. Within this website there are pictures of every room, we have nothing to hide!

Chalet Rhaetia overlooks mountains and meadows, yet it is conveniently just five minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Walks start from outside the chalet, but if you want to venture further afield, why not leave the car behind? The famous Swiss red trains and yellow postbuses stop just 5 minutes walk away, providing every travel convenience. Want to get to the top of a mountain fast? The Madrisa bubble car is also just five minutes away.
